A Phone Case/Backup Battery That Plugs in to the Wall

Smartphone always dying at the worst possible moment but hate carrying around backup batteries and charging cords? Prong’s PWR Case is the solution. This nifty case has a built-in backup battery and folding prongs, so you can plug the case directly in to the wall (and charge your phone from it as well). The battery portion detaches easily, in case you want to travel lightly. Plus, it protects your phone from scratches and drops.

Price and Where to Buy: The new model of the PWR Case starts at $49.99 (for the iPhone 5) on Amazon and Prong’s website.

How It Rates:

  • Usefulness: 10/10. Backup batteries are a necessity, but can be cumbersome. This case functions as protection, a charger, and a power source.
  • Value: 8/10. The case is a much better deal if you’re buying it for the iPhone 5/5s ($49.99) but the $99 price tag for the iPhone 6s/6 is still decent considering what you’re getting.
  • Durability: 10/10. The PWR Case is made from a super durable polycarbonate composite material that will protect your phone.
  • Cool Factor: 7/10. I love the design and function, but the battery does add some bulk to your phone.

Final Verdict: Eliminate the need for a separate charger, phone case, and backup battery with this all-in-one item.
