Phnom Penh Transportation
If you are traveling to Cambodia, there is a good chance that you will be staying or passing through Phnom Penh. This area has become a tourist hotspot over the past few years and has lots to offer in regards to transportation, shopping, and nightlife.
Yes, this form of transportation does still exist, and while it may be a dying profession, it is still quite popular in Phnom Penh. If you are looking for a good way to travel a short distance, a trishaw is an excellent option. Please keep in mind, though, that pollution is bad here, so this isn’t exactly the healthiest way to travel because you will be out in the open and not protected like you would be inside of a car.
Rent a car
There are car rental services here that you can take advantage of. And while the cars that you can rent probably won’t be very fancy, they nonetheless get you to where you want to go. The best thing about renting a car is that you will always have transportation available when you want or need to go somewhere in Phnom Penh.
An enjoyable way to get around the area is by tuk tuk, a transportation service that acts like a horse and buggy, but the horse is replaced by a motorized scooter. You can usually travel fairly quickly by tuk tuk and one is almost always available. This is a fairly cheap form of transportation and is favorite among locals and tourists alike.
