Shopping in Perth

You’ll find everything from high-end fashion to native aboriginal art in Perth, Australia. Visit weekend markets for bargains or one of the large malls for one-stop shopping.

Scarborough Fair Markets

Scarborough Fair Markets are a way to combine a visit to the beach with a relaxed shopping experience. Various stalls offer antiques, fashion, surf wear, tarot readings, massage and reflexology, books and much more, including a stall that only sells rocking horses. Replenish at the licensed food hall, open weekends.

Malls

Perth has more than its share of modern malls and shopping complexes where you can find all of the standard offerings. Westfield Carousel, located in Cannington, Perth, is the largest shopping centre in Perth with a multitude of shops including Target, Kmart, department stores, boutiques, a supermarket, bookstores, a cinema and cafés.

Rockingham Shopping Center is huge; within it you can shop all the major stores in one place along with many other stores and food outlets. If you’re looking for a bargain outside the weekend markets go to Harbour Town, which has fantastic deals around every corner. Harbour Town is located just west of the city centre on Wellington Street.

Creative Native

Creative Native in Perth City has unique pieces of aboriginal art and authentic didgeridoos, as well as handmade souvenirs. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices are surprisingly lower than other shops in town. This shop has souvenirs made in Australia, in contrast to many other shops that carry cheap souvenirs made in China. The shop is tucked away downstairs in Forrest Chase, a large shopping center on Murray Street.
