If you’re in Pecs on a Friday or Saturday night, it’s a really nice place to go drink, dance and have fun. The nightlife overall is pretty good with many other types of things to do if you’re not into the party scene.
Clubbing in Pécs
If you’re looking for places that come alive at night in Pécs, you’re in luck! Clubs are open until the wee hours of the morning where you can party to your heart’s content. A few suggestions include the Rock and Roll Inferno, Hard Rák Café or the “’Golden Triangle” a place where three famous bars meet in the historic district (and some of them have historical roots).
Go to the Theatre
When was the last time you were in a theatre? While going to a real theatre can be super expensive in North America and other Western countries, you can actually afford to see a nice production in Pécs at the National Theatre of Pécs. It’s a great option, especially if you happen to be in town when the weather is less than perfect.
Sit in Szechenyi Plaza
If you just want to chill out, go relax in Szechenyi Plaza on a nice evening with an ice cream cone. Sit and watch the city, the locals, the tourists and sounds and, of course, the beautiful lights on the historic buildings.
View Pécs from the Mecsek
If you ever get a chance to get up to the TV tower, you can see the entire city, glowing in its wonderful lights. It is a spectacular view.
Wondering what to wear? Dress code in the clubs will vary but, for the most part, it’s pretty low-key and casual.
