Transportation in Brugge Parking the Car and Walking
If you are going to be traveling to Brugge, it is imperative to understand your various transportation options. After all, traveling around this area with a car tends to not be the best of ideas.
Understanding the problem
The problem in Brugge is that you do not want to travel by car. Street parking is extremely limited, and most times, you won’t even be able to find a spot because the parking that is open is meant for residents only. In fact, you will likely have to go all the way downtown and find some type of underground parking. And when parking underground, the rates are going to be very expensive. If you do happen to come by car, please note that the cheapest parking will be found at Parking Centrum Station.
Walk and cruise the canals
There are many parts of the area that simply don’t allow you to drive a car. You will instead need to park and walk. If you prefer, though, you may be able to rent a bike and travel the city this way. Most of your getting around in Brugge is going to be on foot.
Rent a scooter
Another excellent way to travel around Brugge is by scooter. Fortunately, there are various places that you can rent a scooter from, and the most of these rental places offer good pricing. Renting a scooter is also advantageous because most places have parking areas for these electronic or gas-powered bikes.
