What to pack for Utah - Packing List

If you are traveling to Utah, it is imperative that you take into consideration the time of year you will be traveling to the state. This part of the United States has various types of weather conditions that are most affected by the time of year you plan to travel here.

First and foremost, you will need to make sure you check the weather for the week(s) you are going to be staying in Utah. If it is going to be warm, then you will of course want to pack clothes that help you stay cool. Traveling during the summer to Utah will mean temperatures will be anywhere from 70 to 100+ degrees. The nights, however, are cool -- usually lower 70s -- so make sure you pack a lightweight jacket and warm pajamas.

What do you plan on doing while you are in Utah? Are you going to be hitting up a local golf course? What about rock climbing? Your activities will largely influence what you should pack. If you are going to be outdoors a lot, then you will want to pack cool clothes for the summer. If you are traveling here during the winter, though, please note it can get exceptionally cold, meaning you will need to pack warm clothes, including snow boots as it does tend to snow a lot in Utah, especially in Nephi and Pleasant Grove. If you plan to be out on the water, you will want to bring along a bathing suit as well as flip flops.

Visitors who plan to go hiking will want to bring some insect repellent. Otherwise, you can find toiletries and medical supplies in almost any town or city in the state.
