This is the Baja, so you really don't need much, basically just carry on luggage and a minimum of clothing. There's always a laundry or store with a sale going on if you want something else.
The Baja, especially the Southern Baja, is known for its sun and fun, however, even though it can be quite warm in the winter, the weather can be fickle and turn on you. As such it is always good to pack a long sleeve shirt and a light coat especially for December through February. The water is relatively warm all year round, so it's always important to bring a swim suit, a hat, and sunglasses. When it comes to footwear, water shoes are a plus, and sandals or flip-flops are always easy. Temperatures begin to drop as the sun goes down, so it's also suggested to bring a light sweater or jacket.
Clothes to Pack
Sunscreen is mandatory in Cabo—unless you want to head home as a cooked lobster. Shove an easy-to-pack collapsible cooler in your luggage to save room for your own snorkel gear, including flippers if you're into that. It's better than renting and you know it's the right fit. Additionally, carry a "travel roll" of toilet paper as most places you find in tourist areas don't have any. Toiletries we suggest you bring from home, but if you forget something or run out of supplies there is always Costco, Mega (San Jose), or Soriannas (San Jose).
