Down on the Ohio River (New Richmond, OH)

Three of my girlfriends and I wanted to spend some quality time catching up with our busy lives. We live in Ohio and didn’t want to go far. We wanted a quiet base, yet a place where we could enjoy good food and be near a bigger area with more to do.

We found the perfect spot – a beautiful bed and breakfast in New Richmond, Ohio, only 20 minutes from Cincinnati.

Susanna’s Guest House on the Ohio River is a tranquil and cozy bed and breakfast. The rooms are decorated around the river theme, and around the owner’s Irish heritage. Each room had its own bathroom. Some with a shower, and others with a shower and jacuzzi tub. The beds were fantastic, making us want to stay in bed late the following morning.

On the front porch one can view the majestic Ohio River. We took a walk with ducks following us down the road and ate dinner at a nearby restaurant also on the river.

New Richmond is an unspoiled town with an interesting river history.

There were endless choices of things to do in nearby Kentucky (about 10 minutes) and the surrounding Ohio area. In the end we went on a steamboat lunch cruise in the Cincinnati/Newport KY area.

Nearby are shops, restaurants, and the beautiful Cincinnati landscape.
