Florida is home to a variety of different habitats and is a veritable paradise for the outdoor enthusiast. Located slightly Northwest of Orlando is Kelly Park or Rock Springs, a beautiful natural habitat featuring clear water perfect for swimming and exotic lush vegetation and flora.

Hillsborough River State Park located just outside of Tampa features class two rapids and is one of the premier canoeing destinations in all of Florida. Anastasis Island State Park just outside of St. Augustine features a peaceful beach, as well as some of the best birding in the United States.

City Fun

If you’re is more interested in cities than in nature, there are still plenty of areas off the beaten path to visit in Florida. Peppers Bar in Key West is a quirky spot in one of the countries most unique cities.
