Nottingham Castle

Explore the Caves 

Unbeknowest to most, the city of Nottingham was built on top of a series of man-made caves which are still in existence to this day. Wollaton Hall 

Those looking for a good day trip during their stay in Nottingham should put Wollaton Hall on their itinerary. It is the biggest manor in the city. Its location is convenient, just twenty minutes or so from the center of downtown Nottingham. There is a natural history museum inside the manor that has free admission. The grounds include a lake and a botanical garden. The museum and the free admission make it a great attraction for those traveling with children.
