Northwest Airlines' flight attendants have adopted a musical overture lifted directly from the

    Terminator

movies and codenamed their impending strike action "CHAOS" in an effort to alert flyers (and NWA executives) of what could soon be a crippling blow to the airline.

    I've already discussed the

    reasons behind the potential strike

, and fellow SmarterTravel.com blogger Tim Winship provided

    up-to-date details

on the flight attendant union's plans earlier this week. There's one more new detail that any Northwest flyer should be aware of, though: Now you can sign up for alerts that will notify you by email of "possible CHAOS strikes" affecting your flight.

The email alert comes with some caveats (i.e., "We will endeavor to provide as much notice as possible but cannot guarantee that the notice will prevent all disruptions to your travel plans."). Still, it's better than not having any idea what to expect.

Head over to the Northwest Airlines Flight Attendants Association

    website

for details and some of that catchy

    Terminator

    music.
