Oman Nightlife
Read this before you book your ticket for a period of bar hopping, pub crawling or general partying in Oman. It’s not a dry country, so alcohol is available outside periods when there are religious festivals. However, you won’t find strips of bars or nightclubs as you would in other destinations.
Bars, Pubs and Clubs in the Hotels
You can find some cafes in golden village, but most of the pubs and clubs are in the best hotels. Hyatt regency has a good English pub. Sheraton has a nightclub and the best Arabic bar of Oman. Women from Oman don’t go out at night, but there are usually women tourists in the nightclubs.
Muscat Luxury Hotel
A great place in Oman to dance, drink, and meet other expats is at this five-star hotel. The dance music is subpar, but on occasional nights they get away from the ’80s music and techo tunes. The drinks are pricey, but if you go to the cheaper hotels you can drink for half the price and then go out dancing.
Stargazing
One of the absolute best things you can do at night in Oman is take in the stars. You don’t have to go far, and you will be rewarded with some spectacular views. Just make sure you don’t go too far off the beaten track: it’s easy to get lost at night here.
