In a recent tip, my co-worker Molly Feltner gave the rundown on how to book a hostel in Europe using the website HostelWorld.com. Now, you can search more than 27,000 hostels around the globe simultaneously with the recently launched beta version of Travelers for Travelers Hostels. The online tool uses one interface to search many of the major hostel booking sites, including HostelWorld.com.
Travelers for Travelers was originally created by Marco van de Kamp as a travel community for backpackers. Kamp added the new search engine to help alleviate the frustration of searching multiple websites to find the best deal, and to make it easier to find a place to stay while on the road.
The website is in its initial testing stage, but is fully functional. Start by searching for a specific destination and time frame for your trip. Then, from the list of options available in that city, you can compare rates and read user reviews to help you make your choice. Once you’ve decided where you’d like to stay, you can book your lodging through the appropriate website. It’s free to use, and takes the hassle out of having to search multiple websites to find your ideal accommodations.
