The clock also features 43 bells and a reenactment of two 16th century Bavarian stories.
You will also enjoy looking at Ferdinand Murmann’s magnificent Mariensaüle, a golden statue of the Virgin Mary also known as Column of Mary. Make sure you visit the Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall) and the legendary Fischbrunnen (Fish Fountain).

In Marienplatz, you will also find numerous restaurants, coffee shops and cafes that are sure to delight your senses. Take a stroll down Kaufingerstraße street and eat lunch at one of the cafe houses. Sample the delicious food at the Hofbräuhaus (Hard Rock Cafe). Plus, the historic architecture that surrounds you will literally transport your spirit into another era.
