As a tourist it is understandable for you to purchase and take home as much from your trip as possible.  When you travel to Mumbai, you will have a variety of shopping/street vendor options to choose from — here are a few suggestions to keep in mind.

Some people will reference Colba Causeway as “shopping heaven.” When you see it for yourself, you will understand why the positive title exists. There are a variety of items you can purchase including (but not limited to) clothes, jewelry, books, fruits, and instruments. If you really wanted to just stay in one main area during your trip, every souvenir option you would desire is most likely here.

It is highly recommended that you save enough room in your luggage or plan to purchase another suitcase during your trip. The last situation you want to be in is having to not get what you like or spend an immense amount of money shipping it back home.

Street vendors typically sell items that are one of a kind. During your trip you will run into multiple street vendors. One street vendor in specific you should seek is the bangle sellers. These cool wrist accessories are beautiful to the eye and can make great gifts and fashion accessories.

Books For Avid Book Readers

For anyone that considers themselves an avid book reader, Mumbai will treat you very well! Booksellers on the streets are very common. While some of the prices may be a bit cheap, don’t be afraid to negotiate a lower price. In the end, you may be able to purchase double the amount of books you originally planned depending upon your bargaining skills.
