Make sure you have sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, and plenty of water to stay protected and hydrated. If you are on traveling on foot, make sure your supplies are secure by using a backpack or cross-body bag, rather than carrying a purse or bag that can be easily stolen.

Bring clothes that are light-colored and “breathe” easily. Some travelers recommend that women avoid skirts. Also, if you plan on entering any temples or houses, make sure your shoes are easy to slip on and off.
