    J.D. Power Rates Frequent-Flyer Programs



    J.D. Power's first attempt to rate and rank frequent-flyer programs is a welcome addition to the ongoing discussion regarding the benefits and drawbacks of airline loyalty schemes.



    Bonus American, US Air Miles for Avis Rentals



    Through July 15, members of the American and US Airways frequent-flyer programs can earn up to 7,500 bonus miles for Avis rentals.



    A Free Night for New Marriott Rewards Members



    New Marriott Rewards members who complete two stays within 120 days of enrolling in the program will earn a certificate redeemable for a free room night at a Category 1 - 5 hotel.



    AirTran Sets Final Flight Date: December 28



    It's official: AirTran's final flight will be on December 28, between Atlanta and Tampa.



    Earn a Southwest Bonus for Super Shuttle Rides



    Through July 31, members of Southwest's Rapid Rewards program can earn a 50-point bonus for every one-way airport trip in a SuperShuttle van or ExecuCar town car.



    Hyatt Adds Southwest to Summer Triple-Points Promotion



    When Hyatt announced its summer mileage promotion, it included triple airline miles in eight programs, for the second and subsequent stays. The list now includes Southwest.

    IHG Rewards (formerly Priority Club Rewards) has released its latest list of 159 PointBreaks hotels available for booking for just 5,000 points per night through July 31, 2014.



    Delta and Alaska Add More Seattle Flights



    The battle for Seattle between former marketing partners, Alaska Air and Delta, continues to escalate, with announcements that both airlines will add flights to and from Seattle.
