Miami International Airport inaugurated two important new facilities this week:

    • A new international arrivals center for terminals D, E, and F that airport operators, airlines, and passengers hope will ease Miami’s legendary international arrivals hassles.
    • A new Metrorail extension directly to the airport, with a station located adjacent to the combined car rental facility and parking lot complex and connected to the main airport terminals by a high-speed people mover. Metrorail provides a quick $2 ride downtown, with a direct connection to the downtown people mover. But you still have to take a bus or taxi to Miami Beach.

Overall, these two developments will significantly improve the airport experience for residents and visitors alike.
