Lots of Walking
The streets of Mcleodganj are very steep. You will be spending lots of time walking and often at steep angles that can be hard on the body. You need to make sure you have the right shoes. Another thing to keep in mind that this is one of the rainiest areas in Northern India. Bring a raincoat and an umbrella even when you’re only planning to be outside for a short time period. The Thin Air
Mcleod Ganj is at a very high altitude. It gets cold here at night even during the summer. You’ll need warm clothing including a jack with a hood and lined boots. Thin air can be intensely dehydrating. You need to bring water with you so you don’t get sick. A good water bottle is a must in your purse.
