It's got to be cheaper to update an old ship than build a brand-new ship. As fleets age, we've been seeing more and more ships get head-to-toe refurbishments. The latest in this line of cruise ship plastic surgery candidates is Royal Caribbean's

    Majesty of the Seas

    .

    The

    Majesty

just returned from a 28-day makeover. The ship received new dining facilities, including the international Windjammer Marketplace, the Compass Deli sandwich shop, Sorrento's Italian Pizzeria, Johnny Rockets, a coffee shop, and an ice cream parlor. The main dining rooms feature updated decor.

In addition, the spa was relocated and expanded. A Latin bar called Boleros was added, and the existing bars and casino were renovated. The youth center has a new look, and teens now have their own nightclub and lounge. The ship's suites were completely redone, and all cabins received upgraded bedding.

    The

    Majesty of the Seas

will resume its three- and four-night Bahamas cruises from Miami. If you're interested in booking a short getaway on this new-to-you ship, contact
