Madrid Nightlife

Madrid is one of the most vibrant cities in Spain. No matter how hectic a Spaniard’s schedule is, they always seem to be able to find time to relax, so you know the city of Madrid is going to offer some of the best nightlife on the continent of Europe.

See Traditional Flamenco Dancing

The art of flamenco dancing is native to the country of Spain and there is hardly a better place to see it than in Madrid. One popular spot that tourists and locals go to see flamenco dancing is Cardamomo, a venue dedicated to preserving the dance in its traditional format. Other flamenco venues cater to the tourist crowd. Cardamomo is geared more towards the flamenco purist.

Another popular spot for flamenco is Corral de la Moreria. On top of the traditional dance, the venue is also known for its world-class food. It is a smaller restaurant with a stage in the corner. Be sure to get to the flamenco show early enough to get a table and get served before the show begins.

Go on a Bar Crawl, Tapas Style

Tapas is a traditional style of Spanish dining in which a larger group of diners shares small plates of food. Many of these restaurants are used as appetizers before the Spanish eat their main course around 10:00 pm. There are busiest between 5:00 and 9:00 p.m. Of course, Madrid has hundreds of these restaurants giving many visitors the chance to go on a Tapas Bar Crawl to sample the regional cuisine offered at each of them. You can also have a delicious cocktail or beer while nibbling on these snacks.

Do Some Dancing at the Disco

Madrid has an array of different dance clubs that range in musical style in size. Electronic music is very popular in Europe and this includes Spain. Some of the clubs are designed for teenagers and some are for more adult crowds. One popular spot is Corleone, its decor is designed after the famous Godfather movies series. Music fans also enjoy Black Star because of their commitment to playing modern pop music. There is no shortage of options in Madrid when it comes to dance clubs.
