Look and Book: Spring and Summer Deals

There’s something about April that, at least for me, gets me thinking seriously about taking a trip. Happily, it turns out the spring and early summer travel impulse can be an affordable one, especially if you book now.

Want proof? Here’s a roundup of some of the spring and summer deals I’ve found in the last few weeks.

Airfare

Airfare sales move fast, so the best way to find a good deal is to browse our most current reviews of airline sales. But the good news is that whether you’ve got a hankering to visit Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, or pretty much anywhere in the U.S., you can find a fare sale for travel in spring or early summer.

Destinations

Orlando: The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort’s Mother’s Day Special is good through May 16. Discounted rates start at $159 with rate code MOTHER2.

San Diego: Through June 16, the Porto Vista Hotel in San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood is offering the Easy Breezy package, which includes a $30 food credit, valet parking with unlimited in and out privileges, and accommodations for $109 on weeknights or $119 on weekends.

St. Lucia: Orbitz’ Insider Index shows spring shoulder season savings of 30 percent in St. Lucia. American has discounted air-and-hotel packages, with rates up to 60 percent off bookings made by April 30 for travel through November 15

Tahiti: VisitTahitiTourism.com’s Spring Time in Tahiti package includes round-trip airfare from Los Angeles, five nights’ accommodations, round-trip ferry ride, daily breakfast, spa credit, transfers, and leis when you arrive and depart, from $1,499 per person. The package is available through May 31 (and again from November 1 to December 10).

Tampa: InterContinental Tampa’s BOGO (buy one, get one free) deal extends into late summer. Between May 1 and August 31, stay one weekend night (Thursday through Sunday) and get a second night free. Rates start at $129.

Vancouver: Tourism Vancouver’s Third Night Free promotion is only good through April 30 (though it could be extended), but the offer is good at hotels around the city. Depending on the property, rates for the first two nights range from $99 to $285 per night.

Keep in mind this is just a sampling. Have you seen other spring or summer deals in your own research? Share what you’ve found with other readers below!
