Bars and Restaurants

Vi-Kinds Bar is a sports and karaoke bar. Located at Noordeinde 28 in Leiden, Vi-Kinds has sports on all day including two big screens, a great mix of beers on tap, and you can order food from the pizza shop next door.

Einstein Bar and restaurant doesn’t offer dancing, but every Wednesday night is international student night and draws crowds. This bar is close to Webster University.

Cafés

Many cafes in Leiden have live music to enjoy including Café de Joker and Jazzcafe the Duke which is great for the over-30 crowd. For a quieter atmosphere, enjoy table service at La Gare or hang out on the patio during the summer at Cafe Barrera.

Clubs and Nightlife

Club in Casa is unmistakable a nightclub inside and out. Thursdays are student nights where they play current pop and 70’s and 80’s music. The fellow clubbers tend to be of the younger generations and you have to arrive by 12:30 a.m. to get in. At Mas Y Mas, open only Thursday through Friday, International night on Thursday tends to be its most popular night and gives you the longest wait to get in. The club is long and narrow with the entrance, dance floor, and bar following one after the other. LVC Leiden offers live band performance gigs for a more intimate music experience.
