Lausanne Nightlife – Clubs, Bars & Nightlife Tips

Lausanne Nightlife

The bustling town of Lausanne in Switzerland is full of students and the type of nightlife they enjoy. You’ll find everything from disco nightclubs to bistro-bars to imitation English pubs around here.

Most Popular Nightclubs

MAD and D! are both big draws for famous DJs and students who like to dance through the night. These clubs are quite large and provide for plenty of dancing, drinking, and partying. MAD, for one, is easy to spot because it has a giant pink condom right on the building, and it has four dance floors, one VIP private club, and a restaurant. D! costs between 20 and 30 francs to get in, and while it is crowded, which makes for great dancing, the drinks are expensive.

Best Bistro-Bars

The bistro-bar known as Bleu Lezard is a quiet spot for those who want a less crowded place to drink and chat. It is also a restaurant, making it a great place to start out the evening. They have a downstairs bar with a DJ. The restaurant section has live music, usually a piano playing tasteful music in the background. Kai Zen is another nice spot for a drink, with its constantly changing interior decorating theme. They are known for making delicious cocktails.

Finding a Pub

Lausanne is also home to several imitation English pubs. You may see the King Size Pub as well as the White Horse Pub. Each provides a unique atmosphere that is both Swiss and British. The theme of King Size Pub requires that wait staff wear kilts, and it is located on the ground floor of the local movie theater. There is also a nightly dueling piano competition there.
