Kota Tinggi Transportation – Taxi, Train, Bus & Airport Tips

Kota Tinggi Transportation

It can be difficult to know how to get around in an unfamiliar place. Here are the best ways to get from one point to the next in Kota Tinggi, Malaysia.

Senai-Desaru Expressway

The Sungai Johore bridge is the longest bridge in Malaysia. It cuts the driving time from the first causeway to Desaru by an hour and a half, and helps drivers avoid traffic jams.

Ferry Services

The Sebana Cove Ferry service travels from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in Singapore to Sebana Cove, Johor. It makes return trips as well. The ferry makes three round trips a day Monday through Saturday and four round trips on Sundays. You can also travel from Changi Point Jetty to Pengerang, Malaysia by small boats available that are known as bumboats. These don’t have a set schedule: once the boat has twelve passengers, it makes the hour journey. If you would like to get back after 1 p.m., you may not get a full boat, and you may have to pay the difference in passengers in order to leave.

Public Transport

You can cross into Malaysia from abroad at the Woodlands checkpoint and head past the City Square Mall in Johor for public transit options. If you aren’t near your destination at the bus stop, you can flag down a taxi. If you are traveling to Desaru, you may want to arrange a pick up with the taxi driver or get their contact information. There are only two local taxi options in Desaru, so you may have a hard time finding transportation if you don’t arrange it before hand.
