Killeen Things to Do
Killeen is a small Texas town that is known for Fort Hood. The military base is the main source of activity for residents, but there are many things to do and must-see attractions in Killeen that make the location unique.
Education and Entertainment in One Region
The Mayborn Planetarium and Science Theater is a popular attraction for Killeen residents and visitors. The facility is located at Central Texas College and offers educational programs for K-12 students. The theater was recently upgraded to create a full-dome display that presents outer space in a unique way.
Another educational opportunity is the Bell County Museum in nearby Belton, Texas. The museum runs various exhibitions throughout the year featuring rare photographs, artifacts, costumes, and other fields of interest. This is a great place to visit if you are interested in history and different cultures.
If you are looking for an entertainment experience, there is the Cinergy Copperas Cove on the other side of U.S. Route 190 from the Mayborn Planetarium. Cinergy is a dine-in multiplex that combines a movie theater, eating area, and amusement park in one facility. You can eat while watching a movie. Or, you can play mini-golf and laser tag all in the same location.
Killeen Offers Lake Activities
