    JetBlue, recently crowned

    king of the low-cost carriers

, is making news again. The airline announced late last week it has increased capacity at its JFK hub by adding seven new gates to the 14 it already served. That translates to about 60 additional flights a day.

    According to a

    report

(free subscription required), this additional capacity is a stepping stone that will help the airline reach its goal of 26 gates and 250 daily flights when construction of a new terminal is completed in 2009.
