Yesterday afternoon, the Crown Princess listed heavily to one side, causing dozens of injuries and damage to the interior of the ship. The ship then returned to Port Canaveral, where several passengers were taken to the hospital. The AP is reporting that problems with the steering equipment caused the ship to roll.
The recently debuted Crown Princess was on its fourth voyage ever from Port Canaveral to the western Caribbean. The sailing has been canceled and current passengers will be sent home. Princess will offer guests a full refund and reimburse any expenses caused by the cancellation.
I wish a speedy recovery to all injured in this unexpected event.
