One million frequent flyer miles. That’s enough for 40 domestic round-trip award tickets. Or 20 international round-trips. Or a first-class around-the-world trip for two. Or … well, you get the idea: It’s a lot of miles, redeemable for a lot of travel.
It would take lots of time to earn that many miles through normal channels. (It would, for example, take 200 cross-country round-trip flights to rack up a million frequent flyer miles.) So the periodic sweepstakes dangling million-mile prizes always get my attention. And at the risk of diluting my own chances of winning, I dutifully pass them along to SmarterTravel readers.
The latest is from our sister site TripAdvisor, which is giving away one million Continental OnePass miles, plus $5,000, to promote its new [% 2844698 | | flight search application %].
The deadline to enter is May 4, and you must be at least 18 years old to participate.
And of course, there’s the usual restriction associated with such sweepstakes, preventing employees of TripAdvisor and “related companies” from participating. Which means that I can’t enter, and your chances of winning are that much better.
