The light-colored clothing will help to deflect the heat and be sure to bring cargo shorts and a rain jacket for the occasional storm. Sunscreen is also a must, as you don’t want to get sunburned and if you plan on hiking, be sure to bring good hiking shoes. Good walking shoes, in general, are important if you plan on doing a lot of walking. Keeping your feet comfortable is important while traveling in Hong Kong. Lastly, don’t forget a ballcap and sunglasses to help protect yourself from the sun and heat.

Hong Kong has some amazing shops so you will definitely want to be prepared to bring all of your new things back with you and not struggle to pack it all in. Things like camera film, video film, batteries, and audio tapes. They are super cheap in Hong Kong so save your money and buy them there! On the other hand, toiletries are an essential, as these are relatively more expensive in Hong Kong than in the United States or other countries.
