Shopping in Hong Kong: Clothes
Hong Kong is a popular destination and autonomous territory that lies off the coast of China. Visitors will be happy to find that there are plenty of stores at which to go shopping for clothes and other goods.
Cheung Sha Wan Road in Sham Shui Po is known to locals as “Fashion Street”. It’s worth heading to if you are looking for women’s clothes. The street is lined on either side with small boutique style shops, many of which are owned by designers who are mostly wholesalers, though there are also retail sellers in the area. It’s worth having a quick look through the clothes on display, because the quality is quite good and you can find some very good deals. Just be aware that it can sometimes be impossible to try any clothes on before buying.
There are many stalls that sell a variety of merchandise on Tai Yuen Street and the surrounding streets. If you’re preparing for dinner, you will find fresh fruits and vegetables. There are also many highly affordable clothing wholesalers along Johnston Road who sell mostly women’s clothing. This place is well worth visiting for the many deals you’ll find.
Another popular area to visit is Fa Yuen Street. This street sells housewares, bags, clothing, and many more goods. You can haggle for better prices, but they’re typically already low and fairly reasonable.
