This was my 5th trip down under to the beautiful country of Australia. Wow amazing.

Let me begin by saying it was not supposed to be for pleasure but to visit my brother is is not well. I have hundreds of relatives there and so my visit was filled with visits, diners, barbeques and the like.

The weather was spring like and as I live in the desert south west of the USA, the many rain storms were a joy to behold.

If you have ever gone from 10% humidity to 75% or higher, then you know that lotion is optional. One of my cousins even said that he thought I must have had some “face work” done I looked so good. That was worth the price of admission!

Australia is a wonderful place to visit. There are beautiful flowers and birds and animals that are not found anywhere else (insects also).

One of my favorite places to go in Sydney is the “Fish Markets”. Living in a landlocked state, the fresh sea food is most welcome. My foodie heart had a few extra beats due to the Prawns that were not put on the “barbie” but eaten as a cold cocktail. A must visit for anyone with a pension for the sea.

My flights were uneventful albeit long, I did take advantage of the extra sleep I was able to get on the plane.

It was a very memorable visit for me, my neice and her husband introduced me to their new addition, a beautiful baby boy and the best part is that my brother was feeling very chipper by the time I left.

All in all my best advise is to put this country and its uniqueness on your “bucket list”.
