Apocalypse Now

Apocalypse Now is one of the hottest nightclubs in the city. They have an extensive menu that offers both Vietnamese and western foods and a bar with an assortment of local and international beers. The average cost of a locally brewed beer, like Saigon beer, is around 65,000 VND, a San Miguel Beer is around 72,000 VND and cocktails, like a tequila sunrise, starts at 90,000 VND. They have pool tables, a dance floor, and a souvenir stall. The music is a combination of House, Trance, Lounge, Hip Hop, RNB, and Rock.

Dress Code: smart casual, they don’t allow people who are wearing tank tops, flip flops, shorts, cargo shorts, or ripped shirts.

Rex Hotel Rooftop Beer Garden

During the Vietnam War, the Rex was a favorite watering hole for American officers, and after the end of the war, it has had several renovations since, but the rooftop garden has stayed the same. Many of the city’s best shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance. The bar offers nightly live entertainment featuring a variety of local and international bands. There are nightly drink specials, and there is a wide selection of all the most famous brands of beer and spirits. In addition to drinks, they serve Vietnamese, Western, and Chinese food. The Roof Top Garden is open 24 hours a day, but the best views are at sunset.

Dress Code: smart casual, no flip flops or tank tops allowed.

Saigon Saigon

Located in the Caravelle Hotel, this is a lively spot for live music, dancing and people watching. The Saigon Saigon Bar is located inside the posh Caravelle Hotel, on an open-air terrace on the 9th floor. Take the elevator on the right side of the hall as you enter the hotel, the elevator on the left side leads to the hotel rooms and is of no use for the bar. This is a lively spot for live music, dancing and people watching. The bar is exceptional because it has panoramic views of the city.  It also has a great breeze. Even when it’s roasting hot at the ground level, up there, it’s always cool. They have a great selection of drinks, and there’s always a live band.
