Date of Trip: September 2012
Just recently went to Jamaica. I feel that if you have a great flight then you’ll have a great trip. Flew on Air Tran Airway early am flight the plane was very clean and the flight attendants were very pleasant. No unusal smells, and of course no meals just crackers. That’s ok, I ate before getting on the plan. No real need to make any comments about Jamaica yah mon, it’s Jamaica always breathtaking whenever I go. Do want to say that I never-ever stay at a big name hotel.
Jamaica is a place where you want to have the freedom to mix with the locals. So this time we stayed at the Country Country Inn in Negril. Wonderful experience, neat and clean. Air conditioner worked well once I figure out how to control it, the TV was old but it worked with absolutely no problems but again(mmm now I know where all our analog TV’s went to well maybe not all….) but again I was not there for TV. The cottages afforded the privacy and the comfort of sitting on the porch with all the beautiful plants and trees(there was a mango tree as well as a phlidrangra plant where the leaves were as large as a laptop computer), the restaurant food was mmmmmmgood! and they’ll cook whatever seafood or fruit specifically for you. If not sit back and enjoy their menu (great presentation) breakfast was just great as you sit on the beach and enjoy a great cup of blue mountain coffee. The inn offer several meal plans or none at all if that’s what you want, there are plenty local places to walk to as well as other hotels or take a taxi to other hotels along Manley Blvd. Our return trip home was also great. Crowed but quiet and comfortable. Again the Air Tran plane was very clean including the restrooms and the attendants were very pleasant and helpful.
