Is it worth five minutes of your time to earn 1,000 United MileagePlus miles?
If not, this post is not for you. If yes, or if you're on the fence, then read on.
Offer Details
Through June 30, MileagePlus members who
download and register the free Prosper Daily financial-management app
will receive 1,000 bonus MileagePlus miles.

The app consolidates balance and other information from multiple financial-institution accounts, and tracks users' spending and credit scores. It's available for Apple and Android phones.
Deal or No Deal
To be sure, 1,000 miles is a modest bonus. But it's not a negligible one. If the miles are worth around 1.5 cents apiece, the bonus has a value of $15. And earning $15 for five minutes' work amounts to $180 an hour.
Perhaps more importantly for infrequent flyers, earning the bonus miles will extend the life of all the United miles in your account for an additional 18 months.
