From Best Western: Big Bonus for Mobile Bookings

Another sign of life from stodgy ol' Best Western.

Hard on the heels of announcing a

hip new brand

and some modest enhancements to its

Best Western Rewards

program, the company has rolled out a new mobile booking app and is offering a substantial reward for using it.

Through November 22,

Best Western Rewards

members can earn 5,000 bonus points for the first booking made via the new Best Western to Go mobile app, or on a mobile device, and an additional 1,000 bonus points for the second and subsequent mobile bookings.

The app is available as a free download for both Apple and Android devices.

There's no limit to the number of bonus points that may be earned through this promotion.



Deal or No Deal



Rewards members normally earn 10 points for every $1 spent at Best Western properties. So a $100 stay would net 1,000 points. Book that stay with the mobile app, and the bonus brings the total earnings up to 6,000 points, three-quarters of the way to a free night, available for as few as 8,000 points for a stay at a cheaper Best Western.

That's significantly better value than Best Western has offered in its

recent promotions

. Rewards members can only hope that it's just the first of many solid bonus offers to come.
