In my humble opinion, there’s really no better way to spend an afternoon than surrounded by the paintings, sculptures, furniture, photography, and drawings of the great artists of this world. However, a steep entrance fee for most museums typically has me searching out more affordable creative outlets.
That’s why I was particularly excited when I saw the Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day offer. On September 25, 2010, you and a guest can get into more than 1,300 participating museums across the country for free, including the Museum of Fine arts in Boston, World Kite Museum & Hall of Fame in Washington, the Oz Museum in Kansas, and the Adler Planetarium in Chicago. All you need is a Museum Day ticket, which you can download from the Smithsonian Magazine’s website.
One ticket is permitted per household and per email address. No purchase necessary.
