You can travel to and from Flam by boat or ferry and floating the fjords is a beautiful way to travel. There’s a boat service all the way to Bergen, which takes about 5 hours as you travel out of the Songefjorden and between small islands. The boats from Gudvangern are passenger only and don’t ferry cars.
Trains are a popular and scenic way to travel. The trains can get busy, so it’s good to be organized beforehand so you don’t get stuck waiting for too long.
