What to Pack for Seoul Essentials to Bring
The dynamic city of Seoul is becoming an increasingly popular destination for visitors from all over the world. Here’s what you’ll need to bring with you.
A Basic Wardrobe
Know right off the bat that shopping in Seoul is phenomenal. You can get most of the clothes you need at very decent prices (shoes are especially cheap). It’s also worth noting that fashion in Seoul is taken seriously yet can clash with that of Western culture. All the more reason to just pack a basic wardrobe and buy the rest of your clothing there. That said, if you’re going to be there during South Korea’s winter season, you’ll want an extra warm jacket. At any other time of year, a light jacket is still often a must.
Toiletries, Medicine and Necessities
It can actually be challenging to find basic personal necessities in Seoul as they are not usually displayed out in the open. And unless you read Korean, distinguishing the exact product you’re looking for by looks alone can be even more difficult.
While clothing shopping in Seoul is wonderful in general, underwear shopping is often not so great for visitors. Finding the right size and fit can be a pain indeed. So, it’s best to come prepared.
A Decent Camera
Unless you’re fine with just taking photos on your phone (providing your phone will still work in another country), bring a decent camera with you. There’s so much you’ll want to capture!
Extra Tip: Pack Light
Again, shopping in Seoul is amazing, and it’s easy to get great deals. So do yourself a favor and leave extra room in your suitcase.
