Transportation in Dublin: To and From Dublin Airport
Dublin is both the capital and largest city in Ireland. It’s well connected by a transportation network that links people to and from the airport.
From the Airport
After your arrival in Dublin, there are several options for getting to the city’s center. Among the most affordable options is travel by Aircoach to O’Connell Street or Grafton Street. The cost is typically only seven euros when buying at the airport counter, and even cheaper when buying online. You’ll also find buses to Cork for 20 euros and Belfast for 16 euros.
When you arrive in Dublin Airport, the AirLink terminal is conveniently located outside the arrivals hall. It’s almost impossible to miss, partly because there are typically plenty of people waiting there. Bus 747 and 748 runs service from the airport to the city center every 10 minutes or so. The bus is a double decker bus, and the trip takes between 20 and 30 minutes to arrive, depending on what time of day you are departing.
To the Airport
Getting to the airport can be done using the same AirLink service. The central bus station in Dublin, Busaras, is where you get dropped off when leaving the airport by the AirLink line. You can return here and take the bus back to the airport whenever you leave the city.
