Bangkok harmoniously blends technology with culture. Towering skyscrapers fill the same skyline as ornate temples while tuk-tuks (three-wheeled taxis) weave in between noisy automobiles, and floating markets and upscale restaurants make up the culinary scene. With such a diverse city, it's easy to find something that fits every traveler's needs. Bangkok attractions include historical sites such as the statue of King Rama V and the Golden Mount, as well as modern charms like the 41 area golf courses. Flights to Bangkok land at Bangkok International Suvarnabhumi Airport, or at the older Don Muang Airport.

When To Go

With a warm, tropical climate, Bangkok is a popular destination any time of the year. However, the monsoon season from May through October keeps many visitors at bay with unpredictable storms, although it is the least expensive time to visit. Most people prefer to come to Bangkok during November through April, when the weather is dry and pleasant, even though prices are at their peak.
