Daily Daydream: Parc Monceau, Paris

Originally built as a private garden for royalty, the Parc Monceau is now partially open to the public. Does the park look familiar to you? That’s because Monet painted it multiple times, so if you want a classic French garden, this is the place. (Except technically the park is designed more English style and features a Chinese pagoda, roman temple, and Egyptian obelisk!)

While most tourists flock to the bigger Jardin du Luxembourg, we like the Parc Monceau for the smaller crowds and more unique attractions. Be sure to visit in the spring when the tulips and magnolias are in full bloom.

Where is it? In Paris’ 8th arrondissement. Fly to Charles De Gaulle (check prices).

Where to Stay? In the center of all the action is the Hilton Arc de Triomphe, which is near the park, Arc de Triomphe, and Champs-Elysees.

What Else Should I Know? Admission is free!

Who’s it For? Secret Garden fans.
