Muree is a town in Pakistan with an extensive history going back to the colonial era. Getting around the area can be done in a number of different ways, though one favorite mode of transportation is the Daewoo Bus.

Take a Ride on the Daewoo Bus to See the Region

Since the opening of the Islamabad – Murree Expressway in July 2008, a trip to Murree has become far more safe and much more convenient. This Expressway links Islamabad to Muzaffarabad (Kashmir) via Murree. Since the creation of the Expressway, the Daewoo Express has conducted service to Murree, and another route between Murree to Muzaffarabad road is under construction. The Expressway typically operates about 15 buses per day from Rawalpindi to Murree, including return trips.

The schedule for the buses is fairly regular. The first bus departs Rawalpindi at 6 a.m., followed by a second bus at 7 a.m. This pattern continues throughout the day, with the final bus leaving Rawalpindi at 7:30 p.m. The final bus leaving Murree for Rawalpindi departs at 10 p.m.

However, if you’re departing to Murree from Lahor, there is a Daewoo Bus terminal Near Kalma Chowk and Ferozpur Road. The price for this route is typically $8 USD and the distance is around 333 kilometers for the full journey. On the other hand, if you’re leaving from Rawalpindi, the Daewoo Bus terminal is located on Peshwar Road. The journey runs from Rawalpindi to Murree and at the low price of $2 USD. This journey is a little long and takes about an hour and a half to complete, which covers the full 60 kilometers to Murree.

Other Transportation

Visitors will find that there are other companies operating buses to Murree, including Abdullah Travels and Niazi Express. These companies run similar routes, with buses running from Lahore to Murree This is a direct route that runs through Rawalpindi and can be boarded from the Niazi Chowk Bus Terminal in Lahore. The fare is about $6 USD buses that include air condition and $3 USD non buses without air conditioned buses. Both buses run from Lahore to Murree and take about six hours to finish their journey.
