My wife and I visited 9 days in Cuba in April 2016, one CUC = one dollar

Stay in "casas particulares" no hotels if you want to save money and feel Cuban enviroment, average 35 CUC per night, there are clean, safe and helpfull to do easy your travel around Cuba. add 3 to 5 CUC for person for a full breakfast. In Habana we stayed 4 days in Casa de Mary, in Vedado area, grat hospitality and breakfast. Take a colectvo taxi for 1CUC for 2 to go from Vedado to Downtown Habana or walking around maleco for 30 minutes

Go to hotel National and if you can spend around 60 CUC per person with dinner listen for 2 hour orchestra Aragon.

The salsa group around Habana

Don't believe to listen buena vista social club group, many Cubans around downtown havana offer the show but ut is not true

Eat in Catedeal restaurant located in Vedado, great food and no expensive. also La pachanga restaurant

Dont go to the restaurant el Guaguirito in Habana, expensive,bad service and food

If you want to travel around Cuba take a taxi coectivo, 12 CUC for Habana to Vinales, 15 CUC from Habana to Varadero and 35 CUC from vinales to Trinidad per person

We spend 2 days in Vinales is a 2 hour trip from Havana and is a farm rabacco plantation area, takea a horse ride

In Trinidad, a 6 hour trip from Vinales go to la casa de la musica to listen and dance salsa, eat in la Botiga Restsurant,the puzzas are great

In general, it is safe, the transpirtation is expensive, ask always the price of the drinks like mojitos coulve between 2 and 5 CUC, no need to take a horse tour around diwntown Havana, go to hotel dos mundos and in close to the hotel try the best cocunut rum drink

Take with you a lot of snacks, try to find supermarket to save money in buy water. forget the Internet connection, wifi is only in some places and is not cheap. Have fun
