“The return to Asia” sounds like a bad movie sequel, but I’m sure Crystal’s new 2007 Asia itineraries will be tasteful and finely executed. After a two-year absence, the luxury cruise line is once again offering guests a chance to explore the Orient by sea.
The March through May sailings will include cruises to China and Vietnam, as well as Crystal’s first ever Singapore-to-Dubai voyage, which includes three days in Myanmar. In total, the Crystal Symphony will call at 17 cities in nine countries.
Rates begin at $4,295 per person, excluding airfare. Prices will be steep, but the season’s first two sailings include a free three-night pre- or post-cruise land package in Beijing. The Crystal Symphony is a luxurious vessel, but it does hold up to 940 guests. If you don’t want to share your Asian vacation with so many other likeminded travelers, you might want to save your money for a smaller ship experience.
