Costa names its newest ship

If you're having trouble keeping up with all the new ship announcements, join the club. Considering the many new ships launching this year and all the new-builds planned to debut between 2008 and 2010, you need a spreadsheet to keep track of who's building how many ships in which yards and when they all will debut.
Costa
is the most recent company to make headlines with the naming of another new ship. Launching in spring 2009, the
Costa Luminosa
will feature a new design and innovative features, such as a golf simulator. The 2,260-passenger vessel will also have the highest percentage of balconies on any Costa ship. A sister ship to the
Luminosa
will debut in March 2010.
Costa currently has three ships under construction: the
Luminosa
, its sister, and the
Costa Serena
, which will launch this May. The line is trying to grow its fleet with 11 new-builds between 2000 and 2010.
