    Costa

celebrates 60 years of cruising in 2008, and is hoping to make its 2007-2008 Caribbean season special. To that end, the Italian cruise line has announced new plans for its next winter season.

    The

    Costa Fortuna

will make her Caribbean debut in the 2007-2008 season. The ship will sail eastern, western and southeastern itineraries. The

    Costa Fortuna

will also offer one April sailing from Ft. Lauderdale to Bermuda, making Costa the only line to offer Bermuda cruises from this port. The

    Costa Mediterranea

will return to the Caribbean, this time sailing new Saturday-to-Saturday voyages.

Personally, I have a hard time thinking about the 2007 Caribbean season when the 2006 winter season hasn't even begun. If you're more forward-thinking than I am, you can take advantage of Costa's early booking fares. You'll save up to 45 percent off seven-night sailings, with prices starting at $549. You'll be able to celebrate Costa's birthday and a great deal.
