  • Pikes Peak and the Cog Railway



  • Pikes Peak is one of the few 14,000 ft mountains that you can drive or take a train up. It is where America the Beautiful was written and is the most visited mountain in the USA. You can drive, hike, or take a train to the top.

  • There are sand dunes in the middle of the mountains of southern Colorado. Great for people who want to study the unique ecology of the area, for people who want to hike through the dunes (best done in the early morning or late evening), and for people who want to climb the dunes, and then slide back down.
