Dining Out
The weather in Colorado Springs is quite changeable One minute it's sunny and warm and the next a cloud has moved over the town and temperature has dropped 10 degrees, so pack accordingly.
Pack clothing to suit all types of weather. In the summer you may need a sweater in the morning and at night. If you go into the mountains, you may need a coat. During the summer there may be frequent rain showers every afternoon for about 20 minutes. Don't let that discourage you, it will soon clear up, even if it doesn't look like it.
Dress in layers, T-shirts, under long sleeve shirt, with a sweatshirt/sweater. Always take a coat - light weight for summer, but a good, warm one for winter, especially if you're going into the mountains. There can still be a blizzard in May or June, but the next day it will be 76 F degrees.
Clothes to Pack
Don't feel like you have to dress up to go out to eat. In most restaurants, even upscale ones, you'll see people wearing jeans and sweatshirts. This town is VERY casual. There are only a handful of places in town you should dress up to visit - the Cliffhouse, the Pepper Tree and some Broadmoore restaurants.
