    Carnival

wants to shake things up for its guests, so it's switching the itineraries of the

    Carnival Legend

    and

    Carnival Miracle

. The swap will take place in spring 2007.

    On April 15, 2007, the

    Carnival Legend

will bid farewell to its homeports in New York and Ft. Lauderdale and begin year-round seven-night western Caribbean cruises from Tampa. The

    Carnival Miracle

will leave Tampa and start eight-night Caribbean cruises out of New York and Ft. Lauderdale on April 25, 2007.

The ship switch will give repeat cruisers new ships to explore. As the

    Legend

    and

    Miracle

are sister ships with identical layouts, Carnival can easily transfer reservations from one ship to the other.

Prices start at $549 for seven-night cruises from Tampa and $619 for eight-night cruises from New York or Ft. Lauderdale. If you book now for a 2007 cruise, you shouldn't encounter any more surprises because it's unlikely that Carnival will switch the ships back before you sail.
